At the centre of this approach is the Healthy Lifestyle Board – a panel of independent experts including medical doctors, nutritionists and other specialists. They bring scientific knowledge into our decision-making, challenge existing approaches and help shape the development of our product portfolio in a structured and credible way.
But this expertise does not stand on its own. It is closely connected to how we engage with partners, initiatives and consumers. Through collaborations with institutions such as SIPCAN and participation in targeted awareness programs, we actively promote healthier habits and translate our nutrition approach into everyday practice.
This combination of scientific guidance, external partnerships and continuous dialogue ensures that our decisions are not only well-founded, but also relevant in real life. Reducing sugar step by step
One of the most important levers in this journey is the reduction of added sugar. Our approach is deliberately gradual. Rather than making abrupt changes, we continuously review and adapt recipes over time – ensuring that improvements are accepted by consumers and do not compromise product quality or taste. This long-term approach has delivered measurable results. Since 2015, we have significantly reduced the sugar content in key youth product categories, leading to a saving of around 744 tons of sugar yearly compared to the earlier recipes.
