How Rauch PET bottles became a brand personality

In 2001 with its new, unique 0.2 litre bottle Rauch demonstrated to the hospitality industry that an impressive packaging design reaps rewards. Five years later, the young designer from earlier was tasked with transferring the distinctive elements of the small glass bottle to its larger PET brother for the food industry. Rauch’s brands continued to be displayed in standard PET bottles on the shelf, with a sort of ‘ready-made’ design.

The design was finalised at the beginning of 2007 and again the typical, vertical Rauch ellipse dominated the bottle. It was tested and tweaked over the coming months. From November, the new bottle with brand personality conquered supermarket shelves.
