Sustainability requires substance – and the ambition to keep evolving every day. That is why being awarded the Gold Medal by EcoVadis is far more to us than simply receiving a positive rating. It is proof that sustainability at Rauch is not approached selectively but integrated into the company’s strategy and structurally embedded throughout the company’s policies and actions. EcoVadis does not assess businesses based on isolated measures, but across key areas such as environment, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.
With an overall score of 85 out of 100 points and the award of a gold medal, Rauch ranks among the top 5% of all companies evaluated worldwide. Compared to last year’s evaluation, the score improved by 16 points - a clear indication that our sustainability approach is built on a strong foundation and is continuously being refined.
A structured and comparable assessment
EcoVadis provides a globally recognized and independent framework for evaluating sustainability performance. Companies are assessed based on a wide range of documented evidence and evaluated across relevant topics depending on their size, industry and footprint. The results are summarized in a scorecard with scores from 0–100 and corresponding medals (Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum).
This creates transparency and comparability across companies and industries. Increasingly, strong EcoVadis ratings are becoming a prerequisite for doing business with international partners and customers. Many leading companies rely on EcoVadis as a common standard to assess sustainability performance across their supply chains.
Sustainability embedded in our system
At Rauch, this path is built on clear structures. Our sustainability approach is supported by certified management systems, defined processes and regular internal and external audits. In addition, internal guidelines and a Supplier Code of Conduct help anchor social and environmental standards in our collaboration with suppliers. This means that sustainability is not only embedded internally but also extended throughout the supply chain. In an internationally connected industry, this is a key lever to put responsibility into practice effectively. At the same time, the EcoVadis result shows that sustainability at Rauch is not driven by individual projects, but by a system that has an impact across many areas: resources, processes, procurement, internal standards and continuous improvement.
Transparency, progress and continuous improvement
The EcoVadis recognition confirms that we are on the right path – but it does not mark the finish line. Rather, it is an important milestone. Sustainability is not a status that is achieved once and then completed. It is an ongoing process that requires attention, reliability and the willingness to continuously question, improve and develop.
This is precisely where the value of an external assessment lies: it creates transparency, sets clear benchmarks and makes visible how consistently sustainability principles are actually being put into practice. The 16-point improvement and the ranking among the top 5% worldwide show that the measures implemented in recent years are having an impact.

For us, the EcoVadis recognition means one thing above all: encouragement. It confirms the path we have chosen, but it does not replace the next step. Because when you think in generations, progress is not measured by a single moment, but by how consistently it is carried forward. Rauch does not aim to simply document responsibility, but to make it effective in everyday practice – through clear standards, long-term thinking and the ambition to continuously advance sustainable development step by step.
