Chief Accountant

Job description / duties:

·        In charge of financial and management accounting: maintains general and subsidiary ledgers incl. asset accounting, accounts payable and accounts receivable, revenue distribution, operating expenses

·        Responsible for day to day finance and accounts operations

·        Performing full set of accounts and ensure timely closing of accounts

·        Preparing monthly financial reports (reconciliations, journal entries etc.) for three entities according to the GAAP of the corporate headquarter (Austrian GAAP) as well as US-GAAP

·        Preparing yearly financial statements for three entities according to the GAAP of the corporate headquarter (Austrian GAAP) as well as US-GAAP

·        Assisting departments with annual budget preparation

·        Performing financial analysis and reporting to management as needed

·        Monitoring of expenditures, analysing revenues and determining budget variances

·        Ensuring the company is following tax laws (on federal and state level) in coordination with the company’s tax advisors

·        Monitoring and recording financial transactions according to company policies and regulations

·        Coordination of preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting

·        Managing the deployment and maintenance of accounting, timekeeping, payroll, inventory, property and other related procedures and controls

·        Cooperation with corporate headquarters regarding group-related accounting topics

 

Profil:

·        Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, business, economics, finance or a similar field

·        Several (5+) years of experience in accounting, ideally with managerial experience

·        Computer skills: very good knowledge of MS office; preferential – experience with SAP FI/CO

·        Very good knowledge of federal and state tax regulations

·        Exceptional organizational and planning skills

·        Strong communication skills, in writing and verbally

·        Outstanding analytical skills paired with an aptitude for numbers

·        Ability to read, analyse, and interpret technical journals, financial reports and legal documents

·        Precision and reliability; ability to work autonomously

·        Consistent, accurate and thorough with an eye for details
