Helps you see clearly

VITAMIN A is the vitamin for good vision. Vitamin A deficiency is probably the most common vitamin deficiency disease worldwide. It may lead to disturbances of vision and to blindness in the worst case. Children may possibly get disturbances of growth.

The senses of hearing, smell and touch depend on vitamin A as well. It further takes part in the build-up and the function of the skin and the mucous membranes. Vitamin A alleviates acne and other skin diseases.
A well-functioning immune system needs a sufficient supply of vitamin A due to the fact that it serves to block the growth of malignant cells through “Retinoic acid”, a derivative of vitamin A.

“Beta-carotene”, the precursor of vitamin A, protects from various cancer diseases and is, therefore, like other vitamins, the biggest enemy of “free radicals”. Free radicals belong to the most reactive and aggressive substances within the body which can cause huge damage to cells and tissues.

VITAMIN A and its BETA-CAROTENE

Animal food like eggs, dairy products and liver are rich in vitamin A. All orange fruits and vegetables such as carrots, bell peppers, peaches, etc. are vegetable food and contain beta-carotene.
