The most important preconditions for the cultivation of oranges are a warm climate and lots of sunshine. The juice of a mature orange is, so to speak, pure solar energy, because one glass of orange juice contains at least 1000 sun hours. This also explains why the consumption of orange juice, especially in our part of the world, is evidently higher than in the southern countries, and energy saving, as an exception, is not necessary.
