From the small cidery to the innovative global player

2011

RAUCH is steadily growing - two new factories for fruit processing in Poland become members of the Rauch Family.
Because RAUCH is one of the few enterprises that carry out the entire processing from the fruit to the package on their own, thereby guaranteeing highest quality.

2009

Happy Day is the fastest growing fruit juice brand in Germany.

The RAUCH tree represents the new brand symbol of RAUCH.

2007

2007 Rauch opens a factory in Koceljeva/Serbia in order to get a better supply for Serbia and the bordering countries and to consolidate its leading position in this region.

2005

The variety of Rauch brands is further increasing and is complemented in 2005 by the Near Water drink NATIVA Tea & Water. In the same year the 4th Rauch production plant is commissioned in Widnau (CH).

2004

With the change of the package to a pointed form HAPPY DAY continues its road to success of being one of Europe’s leading premium fruit juice brands.

2003

In Italy, Rauch takes over the market leadership with BRAVO for fruit juices and extends its position of being one of Europe’s leading companies. With CAFEMIO, the creamy iced coffee, Rauch enters the coffee market successfully.

2002

With the new Rauch design bottle, Rauch starts its triumphal procession in gastronomy and scores with concepts such as “100% fruit – no sugar added” and a large assortment of products and packs. From now on, the Rauch assortment also offers big enjoyment for the small thirst. The motto “little bear – big friend” YIPPY inspires old and young.

2000

With the introduction of the NATIVA brand, Rauch showed a perfect reaction to the new wellness trend and was also able to transmit this boom to the beverage market.

Further innovations were the fruit juices and ICE TEA in the 0.5 and 1.5 litre PET bottle, which were a real alternative to the carbonated soft drinks. With the acquisition of the Fohrenburg brewery Rauch diversified its assortment of beverages with beer.

1994

In 1994, Rauch started its own plant in Hungary in order to supply the central European countries.

With the introduction of the ICE TEA product range, which caused a real ICE TEA boom, Rauch consolidated its leading position within this branch. Rauch ICE TEA is the most popular non-sparkling thirst quencher.

With the introduction of the HAPPY DAY brand and the launch of the BRAVO brand, Rauch succeeded in making the final breakthrough nationally and internationally and in firmly establishing itself within the industry of branded articles.

Seventies

A further milestone was the first filling of fruit juices into Tetra Pak in Austria in the middle seventies.
Before that, fruit juices were only available in glass bottles– nowadays, the carton packs are taken for granted on the supermarket shelves. So, since the seventies Rauch has become the most popular fruit juice of the Austrians!

The international expansion was enhanced and new markets overseas, as well as in the Middle and Far East, were conquered.

Sixties

The next generation took over the family enterprise at the beginning of the sixties with annual sales of approx. 12 million Austrian Shillings. The plant was, furthermore, hugely extended and the industrial production of fruit juices was started, first of all for national, but then more and more for international sales.

Just a few years later, the commercial production of apple juice was started.

The beginning

The start of the family enterprise can be traced back to the beginning of the 20th century. Immediately after the end of the First World War, Franz Josef Rauch founded the headquarter of the Rauch Fruit Juices limited company in Rankweil, in the territory of Vorarlberg, Austria, which was a small commission cidery for the farmers of the surrounding area.
