It’s the trend: the popular low-calorie wellness teas now with Stevia extract. 

Stevia – the honey leaf
For many centuries the Stevia plant has been used by the natives of Paraguay and Brazil for both sweetening and as a remedy. The admission by law as of December 2011, now also offers our countries the possibility to use this sweetener which comes from a natural source. 
The “Stevia rebaudiana“ is also called sweet leaf or honey leaf. From its leaves the Steviolglycosides are extracted. These have a sweetening power which is 300 times higher in comparison with sugar and are, therefore, free of calories. Stevia is also suitable for diabetics as a sweetener and furthermore does not cause cavities. 

2 years of development for the best flavour
For Nativa, fructose and Stevia extract are used, a mixture which is especially low in calories. “Many products with Stevia have an unpleasant, bitter aftertaste”, explains Erich Teufel, Marketing Manager at Rauch Fruit Juices, “but Nativa does not. We have been working on the development for 2 years in order to be able to guarantee our good flavour.” With its light, tart, typical green tea flavour, Nativa is a favourite, especially for adults.

A whole range with Stevia
The new Nativa generation with Stevia is available starting in February with the first flavours. By the spring, all other Nativa products will gradually be changed to Stevia - in total as many as 14 articles.
